Angel TV’s Kofi Adoma attacked by unknown gunmen

The host of the flagship ‘Anopa Bofoↄ’ morning show on Accra-based Angel FM’s Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, is currently on admission after being attacked by some unknown men at Agbogba, a suburb of Accra.
The incident which occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2022, saw the media personality escape death from the unidentified assailants.

According to report, Mr. Adoma was driving on the Agbogba-Kwabenya road within the Ga East Municipality whiles returning from Kuntunse, when the attackers crossed him.
The assailants using motorbikes reportedly trailed him from Kutunse until he veered off the road to take refuge in China Mall within the Agbogba area.
The armed men then followed the journalist moment after he continued his journey where they succeeded to inflict sharp objects on him leaving injuries on the presenter’s face, arms and shoulders.

The perpetrators further attempted to set Kofi Adoma ablaze after pouring some inflammable substance believed to be petrol on him.

However, he was quick to escape from the hands of these perpetrators into a nearby shop and made emergency calls for support where he was rescued.
Kofi Adoma Nwanwani who is also the director of news for the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) and the CEO of Kofi TV is on admission at a health facility receiving treatment.
This development has left social media users in shock with many suggestions the attack on the celebrated radio presenter was an attempted assassination while others believe it was a robbery.
