Asante Kotoko replaces Prosper Nartey with Burkinabe Seydou Zerbo
Ghana Premier League powerhouse Kumasi Asante Kotoko confirmed the appointment of Seydou Zerbo as the club’s new coach.
The 59-year-old former Burkina Faso tactician succeed Prosper Narteh Ogum who left his role at the club after guiding them to win the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
Seydou Zerbo penned down a one-year contract with the Kumasi-based with an option for extension.
Announcing the deal, the porcupine worriors said “We are delighted to Announce Burkinabè trainer, Seydou Zerbo as our new Head Coach for one season with an option for a further year.”
He will thus take full charge of the club and is expected to lead them in the 2022/23 football season.
Seydou Zerbo last managed the Burkina Faso national U-23 team which led them to the 2020 Championship of African Nations Cup (CHAN) tournament in Cameroon.
He previously coached club sides including Rail Club du Kadiogo, Bankuy Sports, SONABEL, ASFA Yennenga, and Union Sportive des Forces Armées.
