Black Princesses to lock horns with France today in a pre-World Cup friendly

The Black Princesses of Ghana Ben Fokuo will play the Les Bleuets of France in a pre-World Cup friendly match today Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Complexe Sportif a Clairefontaire -en- Yvelines at 6:00 GMT.
The game forms part of their preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022.
The team departed Accra in the early hours of Wednesday, July 27, and arrived at the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris in the evening with twenty-three players.
Ahead of today’s match, the team had their first training session on Thursday afternoon where there is no injury at camp.

In an interview with GFA’s communication team ahead of the game, Coach Ben Fokuo expressed their preparedness for the match.
He added that the game is “very important because France is a high-level team and we see this match as important as the matches against our opponent in the World Cup.
According to him, the match gives them a clear picture of what to expect in Costa Rica during the tournament proper.
The Black Princesses will be making a record sixth straight FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and have been paired in Group D alongside the Netherlands, United States of America, and Japan.
Ghana opens its campaign against the United States of America on Thursday, August 11 before taking on Japan on Sunday, August 14, and the Netherlands on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
