Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prosper Nartey Ogum has reportedly resigned from his role at the Ghanaian champions, this portal can state.
The news comes in after the 44-year-old tactician had tendered his resignation to the management of the club following a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Kumasi-based team this afternoon.
According to multiple reports, the reigning best coach in Ghana cited his resignation on personal issues.
But available information to us indicates that his decision was influenced by the transfer policies of the club hence, his decision to end his marriage with the Ghanaian champions.
Meanwhile, reports coming in say management of the Porcupine Warriors is still engaging the tactician to rescind his decision and stay with the club.
Prosper Nartey Ogum joined Kumasi Asante Kotoko from West African Football Academy (WAFA) in September 2021 before the start of the 2021/22 football season.
He helped them clinch their first ever league title in seven years and made the team qualifies to represent Ghana in the next season’s CAF Champions League.
