At least two children have been confirmed dead whereas five others sustained injuries after a church building collapsed on them at Gomoa Akoti, in the Central Region Gomoa East District.
The deceased children died whiles they were with their parents at the New Grace Chapel before the incident happened on October 9, 2022.
According to reportage the windstorm brought down the weakened church structure with members in the building which led them to run away from their lives however the deceased children, a 14-year-old and a 3-year-old got trapped following their inability to take to their heel.
Meanwhile, the injured are currently receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital whiles the deceased body has been deposited.
General Overseer of the New Heaven Grace Chapel, Prophet Peter Osei Owusu who confirmed the incident to Angel news Opanyin Darko, said the matter has been reported to the Gomoa Ojobi District Police Command for investigations.
