Don’t depend on government for survival – Rocky Dawuni to the youth

Top Ghanaian reggae musician Rocky Dawuni has schooled the youth in the country to be up and doing than overdependence on governments for survival.
According to the two-time Grammy nominee, no government can help Ghanaians hence the need to work hard for a living.

Speaking to Daybreak on Hitz FM, Rocky Dawuni affirmed that expressed worry over how the youth of today had become dependent on successive governments.
“Every morning when I drive, I see a lot of people on their phone, in the morning, [I am referring to] young people.
“They can work, we need to be working, people need to be working, and everybody is sitting down waiting for the government to come and change their life.”
He affirmed further by saying”nobody is coming to save you. You need to save yourself” and added that “we need to infuse into our young people to work hard.”
According to him “We have land, we have so much. We just need the ideas, the tools, the inspiration, and the organisation and then a vision that can direct us as to where we are going.”
Mr. Dawuni furthered it by calling for oneness amidst seeking the fortunes of the country.
“In the long run, our prosperity is not for one man. Our prosperity is for all of us, so, let’s work together for that,” he advised.
