The Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), has condemned the reported attack on the host of the Anopa Bofo morning show on Angel FM, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani over the weekend.
The unfortunate incident reportedly happened on Saturday, August 6, 2022, when some unknown assailants in possession of a motorbike, attack the journalist returning from kuntunse to Accra.
This has left him with multiple wounds from suspected knives and other sharp objects. He is currently on admission receiving treatment at a hospital within the Greater Accra Region.
“The GJA National Executive attending a three-day retreat at Obosomase, near Aburi in the Eastern Region, received the news of the attack with utter shock. We find the attack heinous and dastardly and call On the Ghana Police Service to launch immediate investigations into the attack.
“We also urge the general public to support the police in their investigations to bring the perpetrators to face the law,” it contains in a statement from the GJA.
