The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) has arrested the host of Onua TV/FM morning show in Accra, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart.
According to sources available to mondokayonline.com, the outspoken broadcast journalist was picked in the evening of Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at about 5:50pm.
The reasons for his arrest is yet to be known but we understand it follows some unjustifiable allegations against President Akufo-Addo on one of his show.
He is on tape to have said president Akuffo Addo is engaged in illegal mining also known as galamsey.
However, the NPP government in a statement have rubished the claims indicating that the president is not involve in the act.
It therefore threatened to refer Captain Smart and his media organization, Media General to the National Media Commission (NMC).
At the time of filing this reportage, the Journalist is currently in the custody of the police assisting with investigations.
He was sent to the BNI office at Kawukudi opposite Bureau of the Ghana School of Languages.
Fast forward, he was sent to an undisclosed location by the BNI officials.
Captain Smart was who previously worked at Otec FM, Adom FM joined Onua TV/FM after resigning from Angel FM/TV while on suspension.
