Kotoko withdraws from GHALCA top 6

Ghanaian champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have announced their withdrawal from participating in the upcoming Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) top six tournaments.

The decision was formally made through a statement on the club’s official Twitter page.

In the statement, they cited sporting reasons behind their decision.

“We have this afternoon written officially to GHALCA, informing the welfare body of our decision not to partake in this year’s Ghalca Top Six tournament.

“Our decision was purely based on sporting reasons,” parts of a statement on the Twitter page of Asante Kotoko reads.

The withdrawal comes barely a day following the resignation of coach Prosper Nartey Ogum as head coach of the club.
