Kuami Eugene officially signs unto Empire record

Former signee of Lynx Entertainment, Eugene Kwame Marfo, also known as Kuami Eugene, has officially sign unto a foreign record label Empire.

This was announced by the Chief Executive Officer of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah, that the ‘Angela’ hitmaker has signed the American record label called Empire.

This comes on the back of the immense rumours some about a month ago that, the Ghanaian singer known had exited Lynx Entertainment following a tweet he made suggesting his exist.

He wrote: “I try saa say I go stay, but chaley I for leff. Suro Nipa.”

Following this, some Ghanaians and his followers interpreted the tweet of the artiste’s plans to end his stay with Lynx Entertainment headed by Richie Mensah.

Amidst this, Richie Mensah in an interview described the assertion as rumours and called on the general public to disregard it however barely a mo0nth, he has in statement announced that Kuame Eugene has only joined the American Empire for a project.

He stated that Kuami Eugene’s new deal with the foreign record label “will see the 2020 Ghana Music Awards’ Artiste of the Year expand his horizons as he takes on the world with his music.”

According to Richie Mensah, Kuami Eugene’s first song expected to be released under Empire is titled  “Single”.

“Lynx Entertainment is delighted to announce that it has inked a deal with EMPIRE to work on the project of one of Ghana’s most commercially successful acts, Kuami Eugene.

“This new strategic partnership will see the 2020 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year expand his horizons as he takes on the world with his music.

“Since 2021, Lynx Entertainment has been working closely with EMPIRE; a leading and innovative global label, distributor, and publisher in maximising opportunities and value for its artistes,” it said.

It stressed “Kuami Eugene’s deal emphasises the Ghana-based label’s trailblazing role in the African music industry since 2007.

According to the statement signed by Richie Mensah, “This pathbreaking alliance will aim at projecting the career of the talented and hardworking singer & songwriter on the international market.
