NPP ain’t going to break the 8, they’re instead breaking themselves – Sam George

The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, has reiterated that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) aim for breaking the eight-year mantra would never come to pass.

According to the outspoken politician, breaking the eight quest has rather turned into ‘breaking themselves’ within the party.

Mr. George made the statement at the NPP Delegates Conference at the Accra Sports Stadium, Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Spotted in NDC colours, his attendance was to give a solidarity message to the governing party on behalf of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on the ‘delayed election’ the NDC lawmaker alleged that, the event started late due to the splashing of money to delegates by aspirants.

His claim follows a similar accusation made by one of the chairmanship aspirants, Stephen Asamoah Boateng also known as Asabee who accused fellow aspirants, Stephen Ntim of vote-buying.

“[It is untrue that the other Stephen is going to win]. He is buying the votes. I got the message from a known person. I have the message. He sent GH¢500 and added another GH¢500,” Asabee alleged in an interview.
