Peter Boamah Otokunor, Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), displayed a kenkey he allegedly purchased for GH5 with his Ghana Card comment.
Speaking at the New Patriotic Party’s Delegates Conference on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Otokunor said he bought a kenkey ball for GH5 with his Ghana card while attending the function.
Peter Otokunor told the function how he was forced to buy an expensive Kenkey while delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the NDC.
He displays the GH5 kenkey he purchased with his Ghana Card.

“I decided to buy a kenkey ball when we were coming [to the Delegates Conference].” This kenkey ball costs 5 cedis. The leaves alone on the kenkey will cost 3 cedis; more than the kenkey itself, and guess what, ladies and gents, I bought the kenkey with my Ghana Card,” he explained.
His remark was directed at Dr. Bawumia, who had recently stated the importance of the Ghana card over road interchanges in the country’s development efforts.
“If you gave me 1,000 interchanges or the Ghana card, I would choose the Ghana card because it has more impact,” he declared Thursday, July 15, 2022, while speaking at an Accra Business School program.

“Your Excellency, Nana Addo-Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Your Excellency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Economic Wizkid turned into digital poster boy,” he shaded.
He went on to explain that despite being the country’s luckiest political organization in terms of undeserved public support, the ruling party has only brought pain and suffering to Ghanaians.
The National Delegates Conference of the New Patriotic Party is being held to elect new executives to lead the party for the next four years.
