Police contact Shatta Wale over Fennec Okyere’s murder

The Ghana Police Service has ‘run’ out to dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale over his recent comment about the death of late artiste manager, Fennec Okyere.
According to the police, they have contacted the “My Level” hitmaker to help in the investigation of the pending matter.
The police renewed investigation comes on the back of Shatta Wale’s recent comment made on Facebook that he was going to unmask Bulldog, his former manager over his alleged involvement in Fennec Okyere’s death.
“Bull Dog since you are bringing out secrets, you will tell Ghanaians what happen [sic] to Fenicks [sic] murder!! And I am not joking about this time!!” Shatta Wale posted on Facebook.
“I am ready to tell the court about what you told me about you and your men and how [you] planned that foolish act get ready,” he added.
“This Akuffo Addo won’t give you a murder chance to be on our streets !!! Watch how this ends !!! You can’t fight time !!!” the vocal musician stated.
The late Fennec Okyere, who was the manager of musician Kwaw Kese, died at age 31 after he was murdered at his Manet Gardens residence on Spintex Road, Accra by unknown assailants.

Bullgod was arrested by the police Criminal Investigative Department (CID) as a prime suspect in the incident due to the constant beef the accused had with the deceased amidst threats whiles alive.
He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder but his plea was not taken but in 2017, he was freed by the then Attorney General(AG’s), Gloria Akuffo.
Contained in the AG’s advice on the case docket, indicated that the state was no longer interested in prosecuting Bulldog over the alleged murder of Fennec Okyere.
But, Shatta Wale who has been at loggerhead with Bulldog said he was going to make the world know what he told him about the back-and-forth case.
Fast forward, the police said it have reopened investigations into the murder of the artiste manager Fennec Okyere with the assistance of Shatta Wale.
“The police have made contact with Shatta Wale who is co-operating with us on the matter.
“The police [would] like to put on record that the recently established Cold Case Unit has been working for months on all unresolved murder cases, including that of Fennec Okyere, with support from the affected families.
“This new development from Shatta Wale is therefore going to complement our ongoing investigation,” the statement said.
The police further “thank all the families who have been working with the Cold Case Unit since its establishment for their co-operation and understanding.
“We wish to assure the public that the police will continue to work relentlessly on these cases in order to bring closure to the affected families,” it added.
