
Award-winning Reggae artiste Emmanuel Andrews known by the stage name ‘Samini’ will today, Tuesday, August 23, 2022, be sworn in as President of the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
The ‘My Own’ hitmaker will fully become the SRC president after the swearing-in ceremony is held at the Executive Conference Centre, GIMPA main campus, Greenhill in Accra.
Samini will be sworn in alongside Mabel Yawa Mensah as his Vice to ensure the affairs of the student leaders for the 2022/2023 academic year are administered.
The swearing-in ceremony will also see Vincentia Opponwa and Ruth Yayra Agbeehia becomes secretaries respectively.
Meanwhile, Sandra Dobil who won the Treasurer and Women’s Commissioner positions respectively will also be sworn in.
Samini was elected the president of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on Wednesday, 22 June 2022.
He accumulated 307 votes against Theophilus Quartey, who polled 212 of the total votes cast to become the newly SRC president-elect.
