Senior players have guarantee spot in Black Stars

The skipper of Black Stars Andre Ayew has said that only experienced players in the senior national team are guaranteed an automatic place to make the final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to the leaders of the black stars apart from the “senior players”, no player is guaranteed a position in the Black Stars going into the tournament.

In an interview with Qatari-based news outlet Al Aljazeera, Andre Ayew stated that “apart from senior players who may have an advantage, I believe no one is guaranteed a place in the squad just yet.”

Dede Ayew added that the inclusion of new players into the team has made positions in the squad very competitive.
