‘Why the pay to play in Black Stars’ – Stonebwoy ask GFA over black stars selection

Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has accused the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of corruption with regards to players who were included and excluded from the Black Stars final squad for the World Cup.
According to the “putuu” hitmaker, there are some deserving players who missed out on the 26-player squad assembled for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament which takes place in Qatar, next week will become the first time the Mundial has been hosted by the Arab world.
Fast forward, Otto Addo on Monday, November 14, 2022, announced his final squad of 26 players for the tournaments starting from Sunday, 20 November to December 18.
Following this, there was tension in town as to why players such as Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashemeru and Jeffery Schlupp could not make the squad.
Showing his disappointment over the squad, Stonebwoy believes there was some fishy in the selection of the final squad
Taking to his twitter account, the musician insinuated that some players are only part of the official list because of a bribery system overseen by the authorities, something he called “Pay to Play”.
“There are players who are supposed to be in the squad who are not here because of #PayToPlay.” “@ghanafaofficial why?” he quizzed hinting at frustration.
